Two militants killed in Anantnag gunfight Last Updated : 16 Oct 2019 11:56:30 AM IST Two militants were reportedly killed on Wednesday in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district in a gunfight with the security forces, police sources said.
Security forces surrounded Pazalpora village in Bijbehara area following specific information about a group of militants hiding there.
"As the security forces closed on the hiding militants, they fired triggering an encounter. Firing exchanges are still going on in the area," police officer said.
Reports said two militants have been killed in the gunfight so far, but police insisted that the death of militants can only be confirmed after the bodies are recovered.
